Vice President of Marketing at Leading Mobile Ad Platform Honored for Exceptional Achievements in the Mobile Industry
New York (PRWEB) November 06, 2013
xAd, a mobile-location based advertising platform, today announced that its vice president of marketing, Monica Ho, was named one of Mobile Marketer’s “Mobile Women to Watch 2014.” The fifth annual list honors 25 leading female mobile executives including marketers, retailers, brands, agencies, market researchers and mobile service providers who have the potential to shape mobile-influenced marketing and retail.
Recognized for deep vision, ambition and leadership that spans 12 years of industry experience, Ho has helped xAd achieve heightened brand awareness, critical partnerships and is an advocate for helping the location-based mobile marketplace evolve. Ho is a member of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) North American Board of Directors and serves as the founder and chair for the MMA’s Location Committee in which she was a key player in developing the recently unveiled Location Terminology Guide.
“Monica has been an integral part of xAd’s growth and success making our company’s powerful mobile-location offerings and sophisticated technology known to advertisers, publishers and partners,” said Dipanshu “D” Sharma, CEO of xAd. “Her passion for improving the mobile industry is commendable as she educates the industry on the value of mobile location-based advertising and why it is a necessary and critical part of any successful digital marketing strategy.”
Collaborating with Nielsen, Ho spearheaded the research efforts that led to the industry’s first Mobile Path-to-Purchase Study, a much sought-after industry resource. Ho also is an active member on the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s Local Search Committee and often speaks at leading mobile marketing and advertising conferences and contributes to industry publications.
“It is an extraordinary honor to be acknowledged by Mobile Marketer and included among a group of notable female peers that are driving the mobile industry forward and serving as positive role models for other female executives,” said Ho.
Mobile Marketer’s Top 25 list celebrates the smart women who are expected to make a difference in mobile advertising, marketing, media and commerce in 2013. Mobile Marketer invited readers to submit nominations that were then evaluated by a Mobile Marketer team of judges based on merit, experience and the executive’s potential to make a difference.
“Monica is set to influence marketing and retail in 2014 with her mobile prowess,” said Mickey Alam Khan, editor in chief of Mobile Marketer and Mobile Commerce Daily, New York. “In a world of me-too thinking, Monica stands out for pushing the mobile envelope and readying for a mobile-always consumer-driven environment. Mobile Marketer is please to honor Monica by including her on the prestigious Mobile Women to Watch 2014 list.”
